Who are you and what is your purpose?
It’s a big question and the one we ask ourselves over and over again.
There is no blueprint or book that can answer the question. There is only the thinking, trying, assessing and learning that comes with each breath, each opportunity to grow into ourselves and define what gives us meaning.
Sometimes, it’s easier to identify what isn’t your purpose in an effort to uncover what is.
It isn’t about your net worth; although financial security is important.
It isn’t about your possessions.
It isn’t about your address.
Here are a few thoughts about my purpose:
To live with less fear.
To be more forgiving.
To be kind.
To be more thoughtful in how I listen to others.
To be of service to others.
To be supportive to those who need/want my support.
Maybe I haven’t figured out my purpose yet, but I believe the thoughts above align with who I want to be and I think that will help me answer the big question.
What about you? How do you answer the question?
