Giving all kudos to the Beatles for the song that keeps rolling around in my head. I firmly believe that there are certain lessons we need to learn in our lives and there’s no escaping; even if we avoid or defer them, the things we need to learn are put in front of us during our lifetime.
The lesson I need to absorb is the ability and willingness to ask for help. I was raised to be independent, do it myself (except for home or car repairs) and tough it out. Asking for help was not supported or encouraged.
Many years ago, I ran for a seat on the Board of Education and was forced to ask others to vote for me in the public election. It was so difficult, especially as an introvert, to go door to door asking for support and or contributions.
Well, here I am again, facing the lesson I need to learn and grow from.
Here’s the deal, I have enrolled in a nine-month Coaching Certification course through the Human Potential Institute. Yes, I am a Tiny Habits® Coach and financial life planner, but this is a step beyond. It is a test of my endurance and perseverance. But I cannot succeed without help.
Here’s my ask:
If you would be willing to work with me, as I am required to document work with others, it would help me out greatly. The cost is TRULY nominal, as that is part of the requirement as well. It is completely confidential, and the agenda is yours.
If you’d be willing to help me, please email me with your interest and or questions.
“Mm, gonna try with a little help from my friends…”
