Teenage Queasy Redux

By November 7, 2021 No Comments

Nothing says discomfort like teenage years. I remember the stomach-churning feeling of being at odds with my brain and body. While I had found my tribe in music, outside of which, I was the fish out of water, flopping and aimlessly trying to survive (at least emotionally).

I strived to find out who I was, where I fit in and where life would lead.

Here I am, standing on the precipice of another life-changing time, and to be honest, it feels pretty familiar. My brain and body are battling with identity issues—and some of the same feelings I encountered in my teens.

After a great deal of consideration, I decided that the road from childhood into adulthood, while challenging, turned out pretty well. Although my next chapter will certainly be different, I can only put my faith in the idea that it will be a time of great discovery.

That being said, I will keep a bottle of antacid handy.
