In a world filled with information overload and conflicting advice, it can be hard to know what to believe when it comes to nutrition. With that in mind, I invited my nutritionist, Jessica Berliner, to join me for this conversation.
Jessica Berliner is a clinical nutritionist with a Masters in Integrative Nutrition. Her approach to nutrition is to find a sustainable and individualized plan for each person she works with—because there is no such thing as a perfect diet.
She not only addresses the foods that people put in their bodies but also their exercise, stress management, supplement routine and whatever other factors are helping to guide someone’s health journey.
In this episode, we discuss:
- Why we should be cautious of social media advice on nutrition
- There isn’t a perfect diet for everyone (and what that means for you)
- Why having fun with our food is the key to sustainable change
- Learn what basics a nutritionist needs to know to guide you toward better health
- How to work within our budgets when it comes to choosing high-quality foods
- Why the food pyramid may not be the best guide for healthy eating
