I’m currently sitting in the lounge in Brussels Airport. My body strongly believes it is 3am, but my watch insists it’s 9am.
The flight from Newark was not filled with hours of sleep, as I expected. Now we have a long layover before our Budapest flight and I am doing my best to fight the yawns. I know once I give in, it will be a spiral of misery and surrender.
My goal is to be in a state of patience and forgiveness; not a state in which I have great experience. By forgiveness, I mean in the sense that I won’t be too hard on myself or demand more than is reasonable.
Our two-week journey is about to begin, and I hope to have a day of rest tomorrow—one filled with patience and forgiveness. But right now, I’m just fighting the yawn.
How about you? How do you handle patience and forgiveness? Personally, I’m still a work in progress.
