This morning, we visited the Grand Synagogue in Budapest and its surrounding memorial gardens. It was a stunning experience to be immersed in history and to reflect on the appalling atrocities endured by others.
The stories shared by the young (22 year-old) guide were mesmerizing, as he recounted the history dating back to the synagogue’s beginnings in the mid 1800’s.
The lessons of history are to be learned, remembered and passed on. The same holds true for our personal histories—what we’ve learned through our failures, how we’ve grown and how we can share these stories to leave a lasting legacy for others.
Don’t forget to share your stories.
