On Saturday, I sent out a post that I had “hit the wall.” I wrestled with sending it—not sure if it would be read with lots of discomfort or negativity. I fought the urge to dump it into the virtual trashcan and not share how I was feeling.
After all, men aren’t supposed to be weak, distraught, helpless, hopeless and all the other adjectives that are the antithesis to how we’re raised and the image we’re ‘designed’ to fulfill.
I spent the weekend really focused on gratitude and my thoughts have been answered by so many of you reaching out to check in and see how I am doing. The love and kindness I felt has been overwhelming and I am in awe of your generosity.
I believe it is important and necessary to share your thoughts and feelings, especially when things are tough.
We need to be there for and with each other and you certainly were there for me. Thank you.
