“Blips” is a gentle word for disruptions, craters, land mines, problems, crisises…uh, I think you get the point. Anything that diverts you from your intended plans.
They can range from a mild annoyance to catastrophic, from nothing more than a buzzing gnat or full blown disaster. The question is: how do you deal with them?
If a rained-out golf game ruins your day, or a day wrestling with paperwork keeps you away from a pickleball game and throws you into disarray, well, perhaps a readjustment in your thinking needs to take place.
We all are confronted with unexpected or unwelcomed occurrences that test us. Relying solely on our force of will to make things happen the way we WANT them to happen is a formula for disaster and unhappiness.
How we deal with the blips is our test, our work, and our legacy. If we can figure out how to move with the currents rather than fight against them, we show ourselves, our family, and others that we “get it.”
It’s worth the fight.
