Those of you who have been following my writing over the last several years know that I have a granddaughter, Laila, who was born at 1lb 6oz almost four years ago. Thankfully, she is healthy and wonderful and one of my three shining stars!
We watched her (from a distance, as it was the midst of the COVID lockdown), fight for survival over her 97 days in the NICU. My family is committed to supporting the The Shyan Sun MD Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of Cooperman-Barnabas Medical Center.
