Have you ever created a Vision Statement?
I have, and the experience was life-changing. The assignment was to envision me in fifteen years, encompassing all the significant facets of my life aligned with my values. For example, what did my financial life look like? My relationships, my work, my health, and my activities?
In other words, I needed to write a compelling picture of what my desired life was like, so I would then be able to align my actions with my dreams.
Creating a compelling vision of your life in Chapter X is both significant and meaningful. While a fully imagined picture of your remaining time on this planet doesn’t guarantee the realization of that vision, it does point you in the right direction.
For instance, if you envision a life of vitality, you must identify the necessary actions to live a vibrant and energetic existence. Similarly, if loving relationships are what you aspire to, you need to determine the steps required to nurture and cultivate those connections. Get it?
I highly recommend you try this…all you need is time, an appropriate place where you can allow yourself to dig into your imagination and something to write with and on (don’t do this on a keyboard, do it long hand).
Let me know if you have questions or comments.
