Fear Lives in the Future

By February 7, 2021 No Comments

I’ve recently become a fan of the Bulletproof Radio podcast. It’s Dave Asprey’s platform for interviews that support his biohacking mission and business. The show is fascinating—and true brain candy in an area in which I have very little knowledge. While I have to admit that I haven’t listened to all 786 episodes yet, I have enjoyed a lot of what I’ve heard.

His latest interview was with Sam Qurashi, whose title is Microblogger, Doctor, and Researcher. They spent 50 minutes talking about emotional health. Certainly, an important discussion for everyone. One of the most stunning comments was that “fear lives in the future.”

His point was that fear is a construct of our minds and limits our ability to live fully. I’m not talking about the fear of walking into the afterburner of a 747… I’m talking about the unconscious fear of “what if” that gets us stuck.

Sam talked about living fully by releasing the fears that hold us back. I’ve started to dig into his content on Instagram and Twitter (@samqurashi) and YouTube. He posts some wonderful ideas, quotes, and thoughts aimed at helping us grow.

Check it out.
