I took a walk today. It was a beautiful sunny day in the mid-60’s. The trees are blooming along with the daffodils, crocuses, and hyacinths. While I was observing the display of spring flowers, I also noticed the dandelions. They stood out in bright dots of yellow across the neighborhood lawns.
Some men dedicate themselves to the perfect lawn. The weed represents a disruption in the order of the universe and is an affront to all that is holy. Nothing other than the perfect green carpet is acceptable. But let’s face it, it’s the weed that stands out like a beacon, announcing its willingness and dedication to disruption.
Disruption, in all its forms, is the fuel for growth. It’s the call to action and the true beauty in the world.
Appreciate the weeds….they’re there for a reason.
