It’s not permanent

By September 17, 2020 No Comments

I fully and readily admit that when it comes to cleaning outdoor furniture, I am an unwilling participant. I hate it! I resist even the thought of it. I am not quite sure why; maybe it’s the fact that a day later, they’re dirty again and it seems like a waste of time, paper towels and spray cleaner.

Looking out on my patio this morning, for no apparent reason, I thought about cleaning the oh-so-badly-in-need-of scrubbing chairs. I felt the stomach twist of revulsion. Ughhh!

I grabbed the Fantastic and paper towels and grabbed chair #1. I knew after the first spray and wipe that I was going to complete the task. Several hours, a bottle of cleaner and two rolls of Bounty later, I was finished. The chairs and tables looked great! I considered the impermanence of their condition and sighed…but isn’t that the same in all things?

Nothing is “permanent”…so enjoy the moment and appreciate your efforts.

Cheers,

Michael
