Living Well

If you’re to believe the advertising industry, living well is grounded in the idea that you need to own things to increase your happiness. But of course, it’s advertisers’ job to get you to part with your hard-earned cash for the benefit of their clients.

My five-year-old granddaughter, like most kids her age, gets swept away by the images on TV of all the wonderful toys that will delight her. It’s normal. Even as we age, we are not immune to the messages being driven to our eyes and ears; the car we drive, the clothing we wear, the body wash we use, the places we travel.

Some grow out of the “want/need” stage and focus on what truly aligns with their hearts. That might look like time with family and friends, meaningful relationships, the beauty of nature and the value of feeling safe.

Living well is never about things….it’s about what makes your soul happy.

Here’s to living well!
