We are living through challenging times.
You need only turn on the news, open the paper or land on a website to see the decimation, destruction, death and disturbing images. It is enough to drive you to drink, despair and depression. [Sorry for the overwhelming alliteration.]
It’s almost impossible to shield yourself from all the sadness. Indeed, there’s nothing wrong with communing with and feeling the suffering of others, provided you use those feelings to fuel action.
Channel your emotions to better the world, wherever possible.
Whether educating yourself on the issues, donating to causes that heal the suffering or participating directly with organizations that are actively promoting positive change—it takes sadness and converts it to something positive.
I urge you to continue to fight for a better world, in any way feasible. It’s a good use of time and it adds to your legacy.
Cheers,
Michael
