Looking back, we can recount (to a greater or lesser extent) the path that brought us to where we are right now. We can examine the lessons learned, the bumps and bruises, the victories, the crushing defeats, the anger and the frustration. The dots connected bring us to this moment.
Looking around, we can measure the results of that path. We can assess the impact of the lessons. We can see how our habits impacted our health and wealth. We can even create a report card of our progress and begin to understand the factors that drove our decisions.
The future is another matter. It is there to be created, to be nurtured, to be explored and to be cherished. It is ours to make. We can take our life lessons and make better decisions. But the future has an end date for each of us.
The challenge: Make our futures meaningful (however you define it), with passion, with conviction and with action.
How are you creating the life you value most?
