For me, this is a time of asking questions. I’ve been trying to write more of those thoughts in my journal. I’ve tried journaling in the past, but I found that my high level of distraction often took my attention away from something I wanted to do.
I discovered a bound journal called “MindJournal,” which not only provides plenty of space to write my thoughts, observations, and ideas but also contains prompts and a check-in page where I can take stock of how I feel, my intentions and achievements, things I am grateful for, a spot for what they term “Your Happy Hour,” and a page to revisit and reflect.
It’s been useful in helping me stay focused on my intentions and providing a format within which to work. I found that a book of blank pages felt too daunting somehow. I like when questions are presented for me to ponder. Here are a few questions that the company has offered:
- Am I taking anything for granted?
- I feel best when I am…
- The one thing I’d like to learn about is…
- What’s one thing I want to make happen in the next year?
Ponder, observe, marinate, write….or not.
