If your work life has been one of satisfaction, then Chapter X is going to be a challenge. Take a look back on your life since you began to devote your time to success and mastery. You navigated the bumps, disappointments and, yes, failures. I would say that the ability to move through the hard times even added to your satisfaction because it added to your mastery.
But the calendar doesn’t lie. You either resign yourself to dying in your chair… or you must make the decision to give up that which you’ve worked a lifetime to achieve. Maybe it’s time to reimagine how you look at it. Instead of looking at your next chapter as something less than, you might reframe your thinking. Consider how you’ve devoted your life to preparing FOR the next life stage—complete with your ability to navigate change, difficulty, disappointment, and failure.
All those decades have been practicing for what you need to do next.
