Seasons of change

By March 28, 2021 No Comments

I feel it in my bones. Spring is on the doorstep and it’s my favorite season.

With the warm weather we experienced last week, all I can think about is what the new season will bring. Not only thoughts of getting the garden ready to plant for this years’ experiment, but also getting back on the bike and riding more.

The transition from Winter to Spring brings with it change: how I dress, what I eat, and a different routine that’s geared to a less “enclosed” lifestyle.

But it also spurs on thinking about what I need to do to effectively move from one season to the next. For example, ordering plants for the garden rather than starting from seed. Getting my bike checked out at the cycle shop. Making sure my helmet and equipment are all in order.

Transitions can be hard. But if you examine the factors which need action, it’s easier to focus on the right stuff, rather than becoming overwhelmed or unprepared for change.

Chapter X is a significant transition—perhaps one of the biggest and potentially most difficult. So thought, planning, and preparation can help smooth out potential upheaval. Build your next chapter based on what you value most!
