This week my wife and I traveled to western Massachusetts for a little change of scenery. Our place is tucked away in the woods; my idea of peace. As the locale is rural, there is virtually no light pollution obstructing the nighttime sky views.
I anxiously look forward to experiencing a clear night sky featuring a vista of stars and celestial bodies. It is awe-inspiring and feeds my soul.
However, the weather had other ideas and we’ve had non-stop rain. While this could be a crushing disappointment, the music of rain hitting the roof and trees replaced the visual show instead. It created a soundtrack that melted away the tension as I drifted off to sleep.
I guess it’s all how you look at it.
