Simplify the Process (part 1)

By March 8, 2025 No Comments

After decades of focusing on your career, your “next” chapter deserves careful thought and discernment. There are countless books telling you what to do, how to do it, why to do it, where to do it, and when to do it.

There are guidebooks, podcasts, journals, lectures, workshops, coaches, and courses. In fact, it can all be so overwhelming that some people end up on the couch, desperately gripping the TV remote.

Take a breath! It’s time to simplify in a world where not much is simple. I’m not dismissing the wealth of amazing resources available to help you navigate this transition. But sometimes, the pressure to make it perfect, first-class, and seamless is just too much to bear.

Let’s get a few things straight:

Life is messy!
LIFE is messy!
LIFE IS messy!
LIFE IS MESSY!

Believing it all needs to be perfect is the fastest route to disaster. Instead, start with a learner’s mindset—like a child figuring things out for the first time. Approach this new phase with curiosity, playfulness, and an open heart. Let go of perfection and expectation, and give yourself the freedom to explore.

Stay tuned for Part 2.
