Someone sent me a video of a bear climbing a tree to get at a birdfeeder. The bear was studying the feeder, suspended from a wire between two trees. He approached the tree and climbed it with ease.
As he got to the height of the wire, he began to paw at the wire in an effort to pull it in his direction. The owner of the birdfeeder and videographer began calling and screaming for the bear to cease and desist his uninvited antics, but to no avail. The bear kept his eye on the prize and the feeder came tumbling down.
Thinking of life in Chapter X, you might play the role of the bear and relentlessly go for your goal.
OR you might be the birdfeeder, sitting helpless while the action goes on around you, being unable or unwilling to create action on your own.
OR you might be the owner of the birdfeeder, making dopey decisions that only wind up being problems.
It’s a choice.
