I watched a video in which someone asked the question, “What’s the cost of kindness?” The answer came back, “Being kind doesn’t cost a thing!”
The reality is, showing kindness pays the greatest dividends to both parties. In our world, where there are such divisions of ideology, such tribalism, and such anger, we all need to take not a step back, but a giant step forward to promote kindness whenever possible.
It doesn’t take much effort, it doesn’t take anything away, and it just adds goodness to the world, promoting better understanding and relationships.
As “elders,” it is our responsibility to live with open hearts and open minds, setting the right example for others, especially our younger generations.
