The Rhythm of Life

Do you feel the rhythm of your life? Does it have a feeling and flow that feels natural, strong and positive? The issue is more about whether you derive the greatest satisfaction from finding a routine—or whether you thrive on change.

I’m still exploring mine. There are times when the day flows and others when I can’t find the rhythm. In examining these two states, there are lessons to learn.

For example, I recognize it’s both unsettling and energizing when I learn something new. Unsettling while I process information with which I am uncomfortable; but once integrated, my happiness increases.

For me, the key is to recognize as early as possible what I am actually experiencing in my day. Another word is “presence”—or when I’m tapped into how I’m feeling and why. Finding flow or that sometimes elusive rhythm is aligning your heart with your actions in a mindful and aware state.
