I admit to being a Roadrunner fan…no, not the food delivery service—the cartoon. You know, “beep-beep!”
I loved the way he went from near catastrophe to the next, always unscathed, while his arch nemesis Wile E. Coyote planned and plotted his way to capture the winsome Roadrunner.
Each attempt left Mr. Coyote worse for wear and always falling helplessly into the void. It was obvious that he wasn’t learning any lessons.
During this pandemic, we have been given the opportunity to learn.
We can come out of this with a greater appreciation for relationships, for the simple pleasure of sharing space with someone you care about, for a walk in the park or a hike with others, for our health and safety.
We can come out of this appreciating the fragility of life and act with greater kindness, gratitude, patience and generosity.
Or we can be Wile E. Coyote…
