My wife and I just returned from a weekend at Kripalu in the Berkshires. I’ve been going there since the mid-1990s. It’s definitely one of my happy places. While there, I did some yoga, journaling, and meditation. I especially enjoyed the outdoor walking meditation. Being in nature is very restorative for me.
Since the Berkshires are north of my home, the trees are just starting to bud and bloom. It is glorious to witness the annual rebirth and feel gratitude for being gifted another spring to experience this miracle. It’s not guaranteed to anyone, and at this stage of life, taking it for granted is probably not the way to go.
Do you recognize these moments and celebrate them adequately?
Take a moment to acknowledge that time is precious, and wasting it by living without gratitude, curiosity, and wonder means missing the miracles all around us. That recognition is a rebirth and worthy of celebration.
